Nostalgia
I’ll find you again some day
Happy in the still fields of heather,
Laughing in the lavender
Dancing amongst the daisies,
And one day I’ll
sit beside you in the sunflowers
Have a think in the thistle,
Share a dream in the dogwoods,
Then I’ll come back again and
Find heaven hidden in hydrangeas
Together we’ll pause by peonies,
Bloom with the bluebells.
I’ll pick a petal at each place
Press it between the pages of
a spinebroken paperback
A little piece of the past between petrified trees.
The sun will always be shining,
And breeze will bend stems and poise petals
Point us in the direction of our next meadowside
moment of bliss.
